- salt and pepper.
In the recipe attached you will get the amounts needed and the instructions on how to grill this corn or mielie on a braai or a barbecue. Absolutely so delicious.

How To
Pull off the leaves from the corn or mielies, and have your braai or barbecue turn to coals first. You only need to grill these corns for a short while and do not need the fire or coals to be extremely hot. A warm coal will suit the grilling better. Turn often until all sides are done. Should take only 10 – 12 minutes until they are tender.

Remove from the grill and salt and pepper them and spread some butter to melt over the corn or mielies. Eat warm just as is. Off of the cob or cut them in half, for a more sizeable serving.

The best and simplest way to eat mielies on the cob or corn. So delicious and warm and tasty you will never want to eat them another way. For a better way to eat them is to stick a skewer or a fork in the middle of the cob and hold them that way. Less messy, but that’s what a South African braai is about.
Eating the food with your fingers. With great family and company and sitting around the fire chatting about memories and family funny stories. Staring into the fire in the evening or lunch time, having some drinks or cool drinks and enjoying the company.
