Grilled Corn on a Braai or Barbecue recipe idea for a side dish. Mielies is what the traditional South African call it eaten with butter.

Ingredients

  1. 2 whole corn on the cob (mielies)
  2. some butter
  3. salt and pepper
  4. hot coals for braai or barbecue

Instructions

  1. Take the two corns, mielies and strip the leaves from them.
  2. When the fire wood or charcoals have turned to coals and is not that hot, add the corn or mielies on the grill.
  3. Turning them now and again to cook equally all around. Should take 10-12 minutes until tender.
  4. place in a serving dish and add blobs of butter and salt and pepper the corn.
  5. serve just like that and eat it off of the cob. Or cut into smaller halves or quarters.
  6. A tasty side dish with a meal of meats and other sides.
