I love this chicken dish as its easy and a quick oven bake, just using mushroom soup and water and chicken pieces. A 2 ingredient casserole dish to serve for lunch or dinner parties or family get togethers. This dish makes its own mushroom gravy from the soup mix when baked. Serve with rice or any side dish of vegetables or salads. So delicious and makes a popular week night meal to serve for a family.

Do you bake chicken covered or?

Baking your chicken at home in the oven is as easy as prepping it and placing in the oven to cook. The whole or pieces of chicken does not have to be covered. All spiced and sauces added its as simple as that and hands free, they say. Let it bake and check on it to see if its brown and cooked. So simple.

Is it better to bake or pan fry chicken?

If you are in a hurry then pan fry the chicken breasts, but it can be done both ways. Baking lets you add some ingredients and leave to cook. Such as soups and mushroom and onion. A self saucing method of a oven bake. Also quick to bake, but turned half way.

The ingredients of the chicken mushroom bake, I love garlic so I add it generously, also some onion and mushrooms. But for a very simple dish just use the 2 ingredients it will still be delicious.

1. creamy mushroom soup mix
2. Chicken pieces of choice
3. spices and garlic, your choice

Add some extra mushrooms or chopped onions to add more content to the dish. But simple is still best just adding water to mix the dry soup.

How To

Sprinkle the dry Mushroom soup over the chicken pieces evenly. Add liquid over the soup until you have enough in the dish. It should cover the chicken pieces. Its totally not necessary to measure the water. Sprinkle some herbs over before you bake in the oven.

To add more to the simple easy casserole, add your flavors of herbs and for side dish some veggies you would like. But the simple recipe is great by itself.

Garnished with basil flakes and parsley leaves. Ready for the oven. Lemon juice may be added. Its optional. Ready to place in the oven to bake for supper or dinner.
