Baby apple puree can be cooked by a steamer or slow cooker or pressure cooker or using the simple method such as stove top cooking. A No Bake recipe that is simple and yet very basic.
Apple variety to use.
Each apple variety has a different texture flavor and taste and act differently to heat as well.
Therefore the best apple to use are the sweet ones that breaks down easily and peels well.
In this recipe we use the pink lady but there are other options as well.

With this homemade easy recipe just peel and core the apples and cut into small pieces. Add them with some water and cinnamon into a pot on the stove and simmer until soft for about 15 minutes. Mash or blend them to a good consistancy.
Babies can be fed apples puree with cinnamon from about 6 months old. Make sure the consistency is smooth enough and observe them eating. As always do with a baby that is learning to eat.
Apple Puree is commonly used as an early food for baby because it is easy to digest and nutritious.
It can be enjoyed by itself or added to other mixtures.

Ingredients
6 medium apples (sweet ones ie Pink lady)
60 ml (1/4 cup ) of water
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Instructions
Peel the apples core them and cut into small pieces.
Obtain a pot or saucepan and place all the ingredients in and cover and simmer for about 15-20 min until soft.
Then cool a little and puree using a hand blender or food processor.
Serve for a meal for baby or store in a fridge then freeze some as well.
