Ingredients

For the Vanilla Frosting.

1 Cup of soft unsalted Butter.

4 Cups of icing sugar

1 Teaspoon of Vanilla extract.

Decorations.

Obtain any heart shaped sprinkles of color you prefer. (or anything that will let you know its for valentines)

Instructions

  1. Bake the chocolate and vanilla cupcakes according to the recipe in the ingredients. (click the highlighted heading for the recipe)
  2. Leave the cupcakes to cool on a cooling rack. For prettiness use a colorful cupcake holder.
  3. For the vanilla frosting, place the soft butter in a large bowl and add half of the icing sugar and mix, then add the rest of the icing sugar and the vanilla extract. Mix with a mixer until well blended and fluffy.
  4. Once the cupcakes are cool and ready to ice, place the icing in a piping bag. Choose the piping tip you would use. Pipe on top of the cupcakes.
  5. Sprinkle and decorate the cupcakes as you please with some pink and red heart shaped sprinkles.
  6. Serve for a valentines tea or dessert on a large dessert plate.

Notes

Uses two cupcake mixtures. But you can use one if you prefer. Easy to make other flavor icing just add some flavors. As required. Decorate with any sprinklers or other desired decorations.
