Easy no bake milk tart with condensed milk and a buttery biscuit base with cinnamon. A creamy fridge tart perfect for dessert or tea time.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  1. 1 Tin of condensed milk
  2. 900 ml of milk
  3. 3 heaped Tbsp of maizena (corn flour for thickening)
  4. 150 ml of milk (to mix mazena to a paste)
  5. 1 egg
  6. 5 ml of vanilla essence (1 tsp)
  7. cinnamon (to sprinkle on top )
  8. Biscuits and butter for base of tart.

Instructions

  1. Crush biscuits and add some butter to make a crust in a pie dish. Press firmly and place in a fridge.
  2. Bring to boil the milk and condensed milk. 
  3. Mix the maizena and other milk for a paste.
  4. Whisk the egg and vanilla then add to the milk and maizena mix. mix well.
  5. Add some warm milk to the paste and mix and then add to the boiled milk and stir while warming on stove top.
  6. Keep whisking until the mixture turns thicker.
  7. Remove and pour onto the biscuit crust, then sprinkle with cinnamon on the top and leave to cool.
  8. Place the milk tart in the refrigerator till chilled.
  9. Serve up and enjoy.
