- 8 Chicken pieces (legs, wings and half cut breasts and so on)
- Flour 1 1/2 cup
- Buttermilk 3/4 cups
- Egg 1
- Paprika 1/4 cup
- Black pepper 1 1/2 tbsp.
- Garlic 1 1/2 tbsp.
- Basil 2 tsp.
- Oregano 2 tsp.
- Salt 1 tbsp.
Instructions
- Dry the chicken. Divide into good size pieces for finger food.
- Add to a bowl the mixed milk or buttermilk, egg and other part of salt.
- place the chicken pieces first into the liquid mixture to marinate for at least 30 minutes minutes to tenderize.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, all the spices and half the salt.
- Then into the dry mixture and place on a wire rack for 15 min
- Heat up a large sauce pan or pot with the oil. Add about 4 pieces at a time, so they do not stick together. Fry in oil until all sides are nice and golden brown. About 5-7 minutes each batch.
- Place them in the oven of 175 Deg. C for another 20 minutes to complete the cooking process.
- Place them on a cooler rack to any excess oil drips off. Even a brown paper will absorb any excess oils.
- Serve with tomato sauce or ketchup and a salad or any side dish you would like.
