  6. 1 teaspoon of dried thyme herbs
  7. 1 tablespoon of cornstarch for thickening in a half a cup of water.
  8. salt and pepper
  9. 1 tablespoon of olive oil for sauté the onion and garlic

Instructions

  2. Then add the ground minced beef and brown until cooked. Adding the potato and veggies with a little water to cook the veggies and potatoes. Salt and pepper and add the thyme herbs to absorb the flavors. Simmer with the lid on until the potato and veggies are soft. about 10 minutes.

  6. Roll the puff pastry after it has been brought to room temperature, on a floured surface. It should make at least 8 rounds that will be medium size.
  7. Whisk up the egg for the egg wash to seal the pastry pies, and to add on top of the pies for browning.
  8. With the cooled minced beef mixture, add them on one side of the round pastry (leaving an edge for joining the pastry together) and egg wash the other edge of the pie to pull over and join together with a fork.
  9. Grease the sheet pan and place the hand pies on for baking. Brush egg wash on top of the pies to brown when baking in the oven.
  10. Bake these pies until brown and cooked. Should be around 20 – 25 minutes.
  11. Leave to cool on a rack for a few minutes and serve warm for a snack or meal with a side dish.
