Homemade Ginger Snap Cookies recipe for the holidays. The tastiest cookies to dunk in you hot drink, and make them in large batches.

  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar
  • 3/4 cup of soft room temperature butter (unsalted)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup of molasses
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 cup of flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla cinnamon powder
  • 2 teaspoons of ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cloves

Instructions

  1. preheat the oven to 180 deg. C (350 deg. F)
  2. Cream butter and the sugars together until all is combines.
  3. Add you egg and molasses into sugar and butter mix and mix them in well.
  4. Sift dry ingredients and then mix them in well, until a soft dough like mixture
  5. Chill the dough in the fridge for about 30 minutes
  6. Line your baking sheet and then roll the dough into 1″ round balls and place them on the tray.
  7. Flatten with a glass or fork or any other object you can.
  8. Bake in the oven at 180 deg.C (350 deg. F) for 10-12 minutes and cool on a colling rack.
