Warming Blue Moon Milk with butterfly pea flowers and spices. A soothing, caffeine free bedtime drink for restful sleep, with soothing honey.
1. Place the pine needles on a board and cut off the places where they are attached to the branches. Rinse the needles, set aside a few for serving. Place the remaining needles in a saucepan.
2. Place the pine cones, butterfly pea flowers, star anise and cinnamon in a saucepan.
3. Pour in the milk and simmer the drink on low heat. Do not boil. As soon as bubbles appear around the edge of the saucepan, cover the saucepan with a lid and turn off the heat. Let the drink steep for 7 minutes.
4. Strain the moon milk into a warm cup through a sieve, cool slightly. Add honey to taste. Serve with pine needles and star anise.
Drink moon milk before bed after a hard day.
