    2. 5-6 various colors and flavors of jellies, and water needed. (make ahead and leave to set)
    3. 2 packets finger biscuits
    4. 1/2 cup or so of chocolate chips or sprinkles for decoration
    5. 1/2 cup small white chocolate chips for decoration
    6. 1 can of Ideal or evaporated milk (to add just before serving)
    7. Optional to add whole glazed cherries

Instructions

  1. This recipe will make a extra large pretty glass bowl for a trifle.
  2. The latest you should make this dessert in two nights before Christmas.
  3. Get a few small lunch boxes or bowls that can be stacked up together for all the jellies and puddings. As you will have to set them in the fridge at least overnight.
  4. Obtain you different colors and flavors of jellies you require, add each jelly powder in their own bowl, (do this for all the colors) Add your amount of hot water needed. (as per instructions on the package) mix for the powder to be diluted, then add the cold water. After you have done all you color jellies, leave to cool and then place in the fridge to set firmly.
  5. For the milk puddings, do the same. Add each flavor in their own container, add the milk required as per package. Mix with a hand mixer until firmed. Then stack these mixed puddings in the fridge, to set further. (best to do at least two nights before you need to serve this dessert)
  6. The day before you serve the trifle bowl, make it up.
  7. With your finger biscuits, add them at the bottom of the bowl, star shaped and some broken up biscuits in the middle. (this way they will soak up any liquid from the puddings)
  8. Taking the set jellies and milk pudding out of the fridge and spooning different colors around the bottom of the bowl on top of the finger biscuits. (adding about a tablespoon of each color)
  9. Start to layer your trifle with the biscuits again, then more spoonful’s of jelly and puddings. Continue this until you get to the top.
  10. Add more jellies and desserts on top. Then garnish with chocolate sprinkles or small bits of chocolates, white chocolate chips. or Cherries.
  11. Cover with cling wrap plastic and place in the fridge overnight.
  12. Before you serve, (or the morning before your lunch) this Christmas dessert you may add some ideal or evaporated milk around the top of the trifle, so that the biscuits are soaked and not dry. (Do not over use the liquid. the trifle will be to liquidy)
  13. To serve scoop with a large spoon some trifle out in each ones dessert bowl and enjoy.
  14. PS: once you start disturbing the pudding or trifle it will start to break down, but keep left overs in the fridge for one day or overnight will be ok.
