- Sandwich bread slices x 2(white or brown)
- a small or medium tomatoes
- lettuce
- 3 strips of bacon
- cream cheese
- salt and lemon pepper
- toothpicks
Instructions
- With the 2 slices of bread cut them into small squares of 1 inch each. (cut the crusts off)
- Fry the bacon and cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
- Tear the lettuce, with the frilly edges to add to the appetizer sandwich. For show.
- Cut the tomato in in nice thin slices that will fit the one inch diameter.
- Spread the cream cheese on the bread squares, then construct the BLT sandwich with lettuce first, to prevent sogginess from the tomato. Then a piece of tomato, salt and lemon pepper them. Add the fried bacon piece. Add a piece of lettuce on top. Close it with another square piece of bread. Decorate with a lettuce piece.
- Add to a dish and serve for a finger food, that is just one bite as a mini appetizer.
- The two slices of bread should make at least 6 mini BLT sandwich appetizers.
