- 2 large peaches
- 1 tbsp. starch
- 2.5 oz. butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1-2 tbsp. flaked oats
Instructions
- Preheat oven to190 deg. C, (375°F.)
- Rinse the peaches in water. You cannot remove the peel, but we suggest you try to do it once. You will be pleasantly surprised by the result. Make a cross-shaped incision and scald the fruit. Gently pick up the peel and remove it.
- Cut the peaches in half and remove the pit. Cut the fruit into slices and place in a ceramic baking dish. Sprinkle the peaches with starch and mix them in the mold.
- Place the room temperature butter, cinnamon, flour and sugar in a bowl. Rub the ingredients together with your hands to form a crumbly mixture.
- Cover the peach filling with the crumble mixture.
- Sprinkle oatmeal over the top.
- Bake in the oven until browned, about 30 minutes.
- Serve the dessert straight up in a spice mold with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
- For a sweet flavor, we added white sugar to the batter.
- You can improvise with flavors and replace white sugar with brown sugar, honey or syrup.
- For those on a low-carbohydrate diet, you can replace the sugar with a sweetener.
