Boil the kettle, add your room temperature Vienna’s in a large mug or container, pour the boiling water over the Vienna’s, leave until they are warm through out.
OR — > Alternatively sauté the vienna or sausage used with the bacon.
In a medium frying pan or skillet, add the bacon strips. Fry until mostly cooked. They must not be brittle or hard. But cooked and to be able to wrap around a vienna sausage.
Also sauté the cuts of onion and bell peppers in the bacon fat until tender for a topping for the hot dog roll.
Take some tomato sauce and spread on the vienna, then wrap the vienna with bacon strips.
Cut the fresh hot dog rolls almost in half but not totally through. Spread some butter on the inside of the rolls. (if you do not have fresh rolls then lightly toast the rolls that are cut in half)
Add your bacon wrapped, tomato sauced vienna sausage to the center of the hot dog roll.
Serve with some green garnish of small sautéed cut pieces of green bell pepper and onion on top.
