  1. 3 1/2 ounces’ butter
  2. 3 ounces smoked bacon
  3. 1/4 tsp black pepper
  4. 1/4 tsp Dijon mustard
  5. 1-2 tsp brown sugar.

Instructions

  1. Cut the butter into small cubes to help it soften faster. Place the cubes in a bowl.
  2. Place the bacon strips in a single layer in the pan. Sprinkle the bacon with sugar. Cook until the bacon is golden brown, then turn it over.
  3. Place the bacon on a paper towel folded in thirds to remove excess fat. Let cool. Use a sharp knife to chop the bacon as finely as possible. Set aside 1-2 tablespoons. For serving
  4. Add the bacon to the butter. Season with pepper and mustard. Stir with a fork until smooth.
  5. Line a board with plastic wrap and spread the bacon over the butter. Form a roll. You can also store the butter in a jar. Chill the butter for 50 minutes. Roll the butter in the reserved bacon.
  6. Spoon a little butter onto a hot pancake and enjoy! Store the butter in the refrigerator for about 1 week in a sealed container or freeze.
