Ingredients

Scale
  1. 2 whole-wheat tortillas
  2. 2 ounces’ salami slices
  3. 1 1/2 ounces’ cheddar for appetizers and snowflakes
  4. 5-6 tablespoons Philadelphia-style cream cheese
  5. Cherry or grape tomatoes.
  6. 6 parsley leaves

Instructions

  1. Place the tortilla on the board and trim off the edges (you won’t need them). Cut into 3.5 cm-wide strips. You’ll have three strips. Cut the second tortilla in the same way.
  2. Halve the salami. Form 12 salami-sized semicircles from the cheddar slices. Use a cookie cutter to form snowflakes from the remaining cheese.
  3. Generously spread the tortilla strips with cream cheese. Layer them with salami and cheddar. Roll the strips into rolls.
  4. Cut the tomatoes in half. Assemble the skewer. Thread the tomato half, then the roll, and then the tomato again. Garnish with parsley leaves. Arrange the appetizer on a board and serve.
  5. This treat can be used as part of an appetizer display in a glass or on a large charcuterie board.
  6. You can also spread a balsamic glaze over the appetizer for added flavor, before serving.
