Homemade Fried Steak Nuggets Recipe. A crispy, golden snack or appetizer made with tender steak cubes coated in a cheese seasoned crust.

Ingredients

  1. Pound beef steak, cut into cubes.
  2. 1 large Egg
  3. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  4. 1/2 cup pork panko (can grind pork rinds)
  5. Oil for frying
  6. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  7. Parsley to garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine Pork Panko, Parmesan cheese and salt in one bowl.
  2. Beat 1 egg in another bowl.
  3. Dip cubes of steak into the egg, then the breading mix. Place on a wax or parchment lined baking sheet or pan, and freeze for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat oil to 325 deg. F (162 deg. C) then fry steak nuggets until browned, about 2-3 minutes. another way to see if the oil is ready to fry in, is by placing the handle of a wooden spoon in the oil. If bubbles start to form and rise to the top then it is ready to fry the nuggets. If the oil bubbles to fast and strong, the oil is to hot. 
  5. Transfer the fried steak nuggets to a paper towel lined plate and sprinkle with salt and parsley to serve.

Notes

  • a substitute for pork panko can be ground pork rinds mixed with some flour and then the Parmesan cheese. for a tasty breading.
  • you may also use crushed cornflakes, coconut flakes, crushed pretzels, cracker crumbs, crushed potato chips, crushed tortilla chips.
