Ingredients

  1. 4 cups of green and red shredded cabbage
  2. 2 medium apples, washed and diced
  3. 1/2 red onion, diced
  4. 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  5. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  6. 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  7. 3 tbsp lemon juice
  8. 1 tbsp sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and dice the apple.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, lemon juice and sugar until creamy.
  3. Mix the coleslaw mix, diced apples, dried cranberries and walnuts together in a large bowl.  Pour the dressing over and stir to combine.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour, or until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Shred cabbage finely for the best texture and even coating of dressing.
  • Chill the coleslaw for 30 minutes before serving to enhance flavor.
  • Add nuts like walnuts or pecans for extra crunch.
